Brodhead's Creek

BRODHEAD'S CREEK, 33.9 m., which divides East Stroudsburg from Stroudsburg, was named for Daniel Brodhead, who established a Moravian mission on the west bank in 1739. The highway crosses the stream on a stone and iron bridge, which replaced a 110-year-old wooden structure washed away in 1862.
