Equinunk
EQUINUNK, 24.1 m. (878 alt., 425 pop.), an agricultural center, at the junction of Equinunk Creek with the Delaware, has a small creamery. Josiah Parks settled here prior to the Revolution, but his activities as a scout made him the object of Tory and Indian vengeance. He fled to the Wyoming Valley to warn the people there of an impending general attack (see Tour 10). Early settlers found arrowheads, chips, and other artifacts here on an old Indian campsite.
